been a bit lazy to update my blog.. maybe because i'm still waiting for newest episode of Running Man to be publish and busy downloading Dream Concert.
or maybe because i'm a bit tired from my hectic schedule; work, dating and work again...and today, after work, have to attend a friend's wedding. luckily the solemnization is after Isya' so i have plenty of time to prepare.
it's been ages since i've been to a wedding. truthfully, this is not my favorite place and i've been avoiding it ever since i can remember. the crowd, the noise and the folks doesn't go well with me. when we were growing up, my mother always had to drag us along with her whenever there is an invitation to a wedding. and we would always comes up with thousand excuses just to avoid going.
my mother would always says that if we did not show up at a wedding despite receiving the invitation, then none would come to mine when it's my wedding time. and i would just say, i will never marry, then.
come to think about it, i have never given serious thought about getting married. all this while, i've set my mind of living alone and spend my life the way i see fit. and it never cross my mind of how my wedding should look like, of how much i must spend for it. and honestly, i couldn't care less. if i were to get married, i supposed it will have to be the simplest one people have ever made. nothing grand, just the compulsory one.
and the hell with 'you're-only-getting-married-once-so-you-have-to-make-it-grand' shit. that's not my thing. might works for others but not me. i have never and can never see the importance or significance of turning things as simple as a wedding into a grand thing.
oh-oh..now my simple entry has turn into an emotional one. damn.. better stop before i'm getting all heat up for nothing. well, till next entry then...

Posted by jie eka putra at 6/13/2011 09:48:00 PMLeeSsang jjang!!!
Posted by jie eka putra at 6/13/2011 07:05:00 PMmy latest entry today is for none other than LeeSsang...i must admit that i didn't know about this duo before and if it's not because of Gary and Running man, of course, i wouldn't know that they exists.
i couldn't find more about them on the net, maybe because they are not an idol group, so, it's a bit hard to find info on them. but, nevertheless, after one try to another, i manage to dig some info on them here and here.
i just love their music and i must say that this type of hip hop really suits me well. i personally love Rush, Carousel, LeeSsang's Blues, I'm Not Laughing, Ballerino, The Girl Who Can't Break-up The Boy Who Can't Leave & Swing; a collaboration of Lee Hyori and Gary. Now i find it hard to pass a day without listening to their song.
I should thank Running Man for introducing me to the very attractive ordinary guy, Gary. i just fell in love with him more and more now that i've heard his rapping style. nice job, Gary. and so do you, Gil..

a penny of my thoughts....
Posted by jie eka putra at 6/06/2011 09:29:00 PMi was watching Mr. Hercule Poirot and i remember how much i love this drama. played by David Suchet, this is the best Poirot i have ever seen. i think nobody could ever match him in playing this interesting character. the first time i watch this series was when i was 15 years old, i guess. and i was hooked from the first episode. even now, this drama is still in my best movies/dramas list.
i guess it's also because i love watching period drama or movies, up to the 50's only. i found the years before 50's to be more interesting and intriguing. in those years, life seems to be more simple, peaceful and adequate, not like now. if you watch P.Ramlee's movies, you can see how simple life is, and how interesting Malaysia used to be. and i love that. maybe because i love simple things in life, there's no need to compete and not many crime like today.
talking about that, i remember something. i used to love reading newspaper but now i avoid reading it. it's not really good because i wouldn't know what happens around the world but what good could it bring when all you can see is only people dying, murders, war and crimes? back then, people don't sell their kidneys just to get an ipod but now they do. it really depressed me. i just wish that we can be where we used to be. so peaceful and people are afraid of doing crimes.
but, we are living in the times where money or personal gains are more important than being nice to each other. there's no more value of living your life in virtue. through these period movies/dramas, i can just get away even for a while and marvel at the life. if only Doraemon is alive, not just a fiction, then i could borrow his time machine and wonder around in those period.
well, i've been babbling for quite some time now, so it's better to stop and continue watching my dear Mr. Poirot...
till next time....

RED
Posted by jie eka putra at 6/04/2011 11:56:00 AMi spent my time last night watching RED which i took a copy from a friend who's part time job is downloading whatever film he can find on the internet. starring Bruce Willis, John Malkovich, Helen Mirren, Morgan Freeman and Brian Cox, this movie certainly did not disappoint at all. it succeeded in making me glued to the screen without trying to fast forward and actually finish the whole movie with full satisfaction.
i must say, this movie has entered my list of 'Favorite Movie of All Time'. It's not that easy to be on that list, so congrats!! i especially love how, despite all the main character are in their golden age, their performances have put those younger than them to shame.
the main attraction for me is Morgan Freeman. I have always love his acting, just like i love Sir Anthony Hopkins. The only regret i have is that his character died early. Hm..but it's okay. There's still John Malkovich, who's erratic and paranoid behavior makes him attractive even more. i simply love a scene where he was just standing, holding his 'pig' after he was scolded by Bruce Willis for attacking a woman, whom he suspecting of following them. Call me crazy, but i find that scene to be cute and very funny.
overall, this movie is definitely worth watching. i know it's last year movie, but since i have tendency to watch movie when it's already past their screening time and when people no longer talks about the movie, i couldn't help but watch it later than everybody else.
