I was reading the NST newspaper when i found in book section, a book called The Convert : A Tale Of Exile And Extremism. I was so intrigue by the title of the book that i began to google about it. And i am extremely glad that i did. 


It is a book written by Deborah Baker about a Jewish woman who convert to Islam and her insight on the religion. In short, borrowing words from the reviewer as 'a stellar biography of the American woman who would become one of the most influential voices of Islamic revivalism. It is a thought provoking look at a life of radicalism and it's consequences.' 

I found Maryam Jameelah and her thoughts to be inspiring and an eye opener. She had so much strength and believe in herself that she goes on to do what she knew was right. To think that it all happened in the 50's and how she found her path just goes on to show how truly Great our Creator is. Subhanallah!!! Allah Is Great!! 


She now resides in Pakistan and is very active in voicing her thoughts, view on Islam and the West.

i am now officially addicted to Running Man !!!

for those who had watched Running Man before surely knows why i am addicted to this South Korean variety show. And for those who don't, get your introduction here. They have the complete and latest episode of Running Man.

what makes this show interesting and alive i believe lies with the antics of the permanent casts, good script and of course, the game itself!!

to date, i personally like episode 33 & 35 coz they are so damn funny!! i was laughing madly and am very impressed with the guest.


well, go ahead and try watching it. surely you won't be regret and hook up to this show like me...;).

i've been meaning to write about this acapella group, but as usual, time is not on my side...luckily i've manage to squeeze some time to write about this amazing acapella group from South Korea, Red Soul. as usual, Star King has never fail to amaze me. even though they are from small village, this 6 good friend has proved that they've got what it takes to be successful. not looks nor money, but talent that has been bestowed upon them by the Gracious God. they won no1 place in the South Korean national acapella competition and now, touring the world to perform. it's always very nice to see young people who never stops themselves from reaching out their dream even though there are thousands obstacle in front of them. i especially love the way they sang...full of harmony and they seem most at ease when they were performing... 

move on to a very beautiful woman with powerful voice, Kim Mi-Ah.. i love when she sang Arirang in Star King..she's actually from South Korea, but began building her name in China by joining a singing competition and bagged the no1 spot after her 5th try. imagine her determination, what with her late father sick back home and no money to spend. just because she love music so much, she go through it all and succeeded in the end. her father died when she was preparing for the final, but she strive on and her sacrifice paid off. and she's now have been able to give her mother a comfort life. now, that's a filial daughter, i tell you.

in the same episode, there is a choir group called Hanbit Choir. and if you have a heart, they'll move it to tears and you'll be drenching your sleeve till the end of their performance. this choir consist of 11 blind kids with beautiful voice that will make you marvel at God's gift and in the same time, touched your heart with their ability to sing perfectly even when they are unable to see. the lead singer, Jiho was born with a perfect pitch and he's got a very good voice, which i guess is no surprise since his father is a singer. when he was young, his father would put him on his lap, using his body to teach his son the rhythm. they had perform together, father and son on stage, and i must say that that was the best performance ever, which not even Lady Gaga could surpass. try listen to their performance, singing Goose's Dream, original song by In Sooni and you will be enchanted just like i was.

try to watch Star King and you'll know why i am so amazed by these people. i don't know which episode Kim Mi-Ah is in but it was aired on 09/05/09 and Red Soul was on episode 117.

there goes my entry for this time. i wanna watch those episode again and be sure to put my tissue box next to me. till then...

take a look at this blog and have a bit of laugh.. good to release some stress. it belongs to Rachael Malai Ali and it is about her daily life with Mr. Kipling, her cat. Actually i prefer those that was posted in her fb because it was more hilarious and witty. kind of like Garfield in a way but who cares.. Mr. Kipling is a very smart cat and very lovable.

as usual, my life is hectic as ever..

just got back from my hometown recently, paying a visit to my mom with my other half tagging along..he said it's been ages since he last saw my mother. and it's true. it's been a year since he set foot into my house. and my mom was very happy to see us... hehehehe.. 

and i was so glad to see my nephews, so cute and adorable. little angels, i called them. since my handphone is in hospital at the moment, i'm unable to upload any pix. too bad. wish i could capture their image in my head and upload it to Mr. Sena. 

although it was such a short moment, i was glad that i spent it with my other half and my family. now, getting back to my normal schedule, hectic from day to night.

there goes my short note in a short time. till i manage to squeeze lil time to write again, adios for now....
